New Healthcare
for Europe:
accessible, sustainable,
efficient
From Ancient Times
The Roman Empire pioneered European public health by developing sanitation, training public physicians, and building hospitals. After its fall, many Roman achievements were lost. But medieval Europe embraced key health management ideas, which ultimately became foundational for further advancements.
Middle Ages
Founded by the Knights in the Holy Land, St John's Hospital played a pivotal role in the development of modern healthcare. Guided by charity and enriched by the knowledge of medicine and governance preserved in Islamic societies, it served all, regardless of faith, race, or status. Catholic orders carried this mission across Europe, with Malta emerging as a shining example of their enduring impact.
18th–20th Centuries
European states established the institutional framework for national healthcare services. Reforms prioritized organized healthcare delivery, transforming hospitals into institutions with structured professional management and advanced record-keeping for better accountability and resource allocation. Healthcare funding was formalized through emerging insurance models.
3rd Millennium
Digitalization has revolutionized healthcare operations at all levels, with medical and organizational IT services becoming increasingly integrated. Process optimization and effective learning and knowledge management have become critical value drivers of high-quality care and compliance, underpinning the success of healthcare providers and the healthcare system as a whole.
New Healthcare
Grounded in European healthcare tradition, New Healthcare LTD was established in Malta in 2023, dedicated to helping transform Europe’s health by building a more efficient, sustainable, and accessible system for all in need. We maximize the efficiency of existing systems and tools while advancing healthcare delivery through innovation and organizational development.
Into the Future
